How it works

Three steps to an efficient kitchen.

  1. 01 · COLLECT

    Stick in your meals

Add the dishes your household actually cooks. Each one becomes a sticker in your cookbook — for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any mix.

  2. 02 · LABEL

    Label what matters

Make your own labels — easy, vegan, kids, leftovers — each with its own icon, and put them on any meal.

  3. 03 · PICK

    Let it choose

Choose a few labels for a slot and tap pick one for me. Don't love it? Shuffle again, or choose one by hand.

Labels & filters

Only the meals that fit.

Labels stack, so “comfort + spicy” means both. Dishodex only picks from meals that match.

Questions

Good to know.

How does Dishodex pick a meal?

It looks at the labels you've put on that slot and picks at random from the meals for that slot that wear all of them. Shuffle as many times as you like.

What if nothing matches?

You'll see “Nothing fits — yet.” instead of a pick. Write a recipe with those labels right there, or take a label off.

Can I plan the whole week?

Yes. The Planner shows every day's breakfast, lunch and dinner. Open a day and fill it slot by slot, with a pick or by hand — and look back at past weeks or plan ahead.

Can I make my own labels?

Yes — your own name, and any emoji your phone can show as its icon, found by search. Rename or delete a label, or link meals to it, whenever you like.

Do I start from scratch?

No. Setup offers a handful of starter labels and meals to pick from, so your cookbook isn't empty on day one.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere. Your meals, labels and plans are stored only on your phone, and Dishodex has no internet access, so nothing you enter is ever sent anywhere — not to us, not to anyone. If Android backup is on, Android may include them in your own Google backup. The privacy policy has the details.

Is it on iPhone?

Not yet — Dishodex is Android only for now, and coming soon to Google Play.
